Financial interests
I am the founder, chief executive, and a shareholder of BellyMD, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Philadelphia. BellyMD sells dietary supplements and develops software for people with disorders of gut-brain interaction. When I write or speak about the gut-brain axis, thiamine, magnesium, or related supplementation, I have a financial interest in the subject. I hold this interest openly, and I ask readers to weigh it.
I am compensated by Wolters Kluwer for my role as Editor-in-Chief of Emergency Medicine News.
I receive compensation for clinical work in community emergency departments in Delaware and New Jersey, and for speaking engagements.
